Company History

Krez Mar Seafoods Ltd was initially founded in 1998 by Plamen Marinov as an import company for frozen foods. It was importing meats and seafood from a number of countries around the world.

It was not until 2001 when the strategy changed due to a shift in market demand and the company specialized in importing seafood.

Since 2001, Krez Mar Seafoods has evolved into a major company on the Bulgarian seafood market. Over the years, the key principles have been: quality and innovation. We have always strived at providing our customers with broad product range of highest quality. Our devotion to innovation is apparent in our attempt to deliver new products to the Bulgarian market. Krez Mar Seafoods was among the first to import butterfish, angel fish, savorin, and pompano, seafood once unfamiliar to the Bulgarian consumer.

Our main office is located in Vetren, a village 10 km west of one of the major ports in the country – Bourgas. From here we are supplying many processing plants, cold stores and restaurants in the major Bulgarian cities.
